I trust TextMate. I hear this place is boring. Staying up late. What are you worth?

Do you want to hear a story about a man and a woman?

Crap.

Initially I was going to write an intro in the way that CRwM does: little fragments that abstract but describe the salient points of the diary content. I had all of these great little fragments in mind for a variety of things I might talk about. Of course, as you might have guessed, when I actually sat down to write the intro, I completely forgot all of my snazzy lines.

Perhaps once I’ve actually written the diary, I’ll go back and add the fragments. Perhaps not.

Someone has collapsed in an aisle in the middle of the plane. They asked for a doctor on board, and a woman jumped up near where my brother and I are sitting. I wonder if we're going to have to divert to the closest landing site.

But that isn't really why I started this diary.

Well what was supposed to be a short family trip to Ontario to visit my brother has now turned into a longer trek to France to bury my maternal grandmother. She passed away today.

Diary time again, it would seem. Is it just me or has the site seen less activity lately? I'd imagine it will continue to be quiet as the winter holidays approach in earnest.

I want to talk to you about monitor colour calibration in software. And some other stuff. Also, World of Warcraft. And dating? Anniversaries?

I GOT MY HAIR CUT!!

The other day I called C-- she wasn't home but the next day she e-mailed me and said that her phone was broken and she wouldn't be getting it fixed any time soon. So if I wanted to get in touch with her, it should be by email only.

Well in these trying times of United Nations General Assemblies, I feel it appropriate to let you all know what is going on with me.

Because really it's about time.
